Welcome to Sandling Primary School
Hello and a very warm welcome to Sandling Primary School.
We are a 2 form entry primary school with classes in Years R to 6 (4 – 11 yr olds) situated on the outskirts of Maidstone. We have fantastic outdoor spaces including a large field, wildlife garden and outdoor stage. We aim to capture the friendliness and approachability of a village school within a larger setting. We benefit hugely from supportive families who work with us to enable their child to achieve.
Our motto is ‘We learn together - we achieve together - we have fun together’ and this permeates through everything we do. We help children develop the skills and knowledge required through our PRACTISE values: Problem solver, Resilient, Adventurous, Creative, Teamwork, Independence, Self Assured and Esteem. We look at each child as an individual and ensure that there is no ceiling on what pupils can achieve.
Every member of staff in school works hard to ensure that children settle into school well and enjoy their time at Sandling. There is an induction for our new Year R pupils which begins in the summer with two stay and play visits and for children joining us at other times, we show both parents / carers and pupils around the school before starting and arrange for children to have a buddy whilst they get to know everyone.
If you are interested in joining our school then please contact the school office office@sandling.kent.sch.uk or 01622 763297 for more information. I look forward to welcoming you and your child to the Sandling School family and working with you to ensure your child can achieve the very best they can.
